What Is Botswana National Youth Council?

Botswana National Youth Council (BNYC) is a Non-Governmental organization that was established through a presidential directive (CAB 9/74) in 1974 to coordinate all youth focused Non-Governmental organizations (NGOs)

BNYC further got recognition when it was identified as such in the 1996 National Youth Policy (NYP). The National Action Plan for Youth also identified
BNYC as a major partner in the implementation of the NYP. Currently BNYC is in the process of being enacted through an Act of Parliament


Vision

To be a leading Youth Organization in the empowerment of Youth, enabling them to better lead, serve and contribute to development in a transparent, accountable and efficient manner.

Mission

To create a sustained and enabling environment that will empower a young person in all aspects of human development through coordination, collaboration, networking, lobbying and advocacy with various stakeholders.
