Resource Mobilisation Department (RMD)
The Resource Mobilisation Department is responsible for securing local and international funding for BNYC. It also coordinates and promotes economic empowerment programmes offered by the economy and coordinates resource mobilization programmes for the Secretariat, Village, Ward and District Youth Councils as well as BNYC NGO Affiliates. Our main role is to identify and respond to new funding opportunities regionally and in-country and support the development of resource mobilisation capacity in-country.
Currently some planned activities and programmes of the council are either deferred or abandoned due to various factors mainly budgetary constraints. RMD is therefore also appealing to potential donors and funders to lay a helping hand for continuity and consistent service delivery to the young people of Botswana.
RMD also act as focal point for new ideas and projects for BNYC, this also includes embracing and developing any activity that may bring in a source of income for BNYC in the long run. It is also passionate about building relationships and partnership with youth serving organisations for the greater goal of delivering the council mandate.

BNYC closes MYAA in style in Maun

Botswana National Youth Council (BNYC) closed the Month of Youth Against AIDS (MYAA) in Maun. The closing comprised three- events from the 29th until 31st March 2012.
